Delete Account

Instructions on how to permanently delete your MyPledge account and what happens to your data.

Important Information

Before proceeding with account deletion, please read the following carefully.

Warning: This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

All your progress, journal entries, wellness data, and account information will be permanently removed from our active systems. There is no way to recover your account once deletion is confirmed.

Irreversible

Account deletion cannot be undone or reversed once confirmed.

Data Loss

All personal data, goals, and wellness records are permanently erased.

48–72 Hours

Full data purge from active systems completes within 48–72 hours.

Steps to Delete Your Account

Follow these simple steps inside the MyPledge mobile app to delete your account.

Open the App

Open the MyPledge app on your mobile device and ensure you are logged in to your account.

Go to Settings

Navigate to your Profile tab and tap on Account Settings.

Confirm Deletion

Find the Delete Account option at the bottom and confirm your choice when prompted.

What Happens to Your Data?

Here is a clear breakdown of what happens to each category of your data after account deletion.

Personal Profile (Phone, Name, ID) Permanently Deleted Removed from all active databases within 72 hours
Wellness & Journal Data Permanently Deleted Immediately deleted upon account closure
Goals & Productivity Records Permanently Deleted All progress history is erased
Institute Linkage Removed Association with your institution is disconnected
Legal & Audit Logs Retained for Compliance Kept for up to 7 years as required by financial regulations

Deletion Process

Once you confirm deletion inside the app, here is what happens next:

  • Immediate Deactivation: Your account is deactivated instantly. You will be logged out and unable to log back in.
  • Data Purge Initiated: Our systems begin the process of permanently deleting your personal data from all active databases.
  • Completion within 48–72 hours: The full purge process typically completes within 48 to 72 hours of your request.
  • Compliance Retention: Anonymised or legally required records (e.g. financial logs) may be retained per applicable regulations.
  • Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation via your registered phone number once your account has been fully deleted.
